ABOUT
Hi, I'm Maja — your guide to the real Florence.
I was born and raised in Florence, and the city has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up surrounded by its art, stories and everyday magic — the Florence of masterpieces and hidden corners, but also of lively streets, good food and a little mischief. That’s the city I love showing visitors.

I'm a licensed tour guide with a degree in art history from the University of Florence. I've been guiding privately for over twelve years, in English and German, and I treat every tour like I'm walking through Florence with old friends.

Expect stories you won't read on plaques, the occasional detour for the city's best espresso, and a pace that suits you — never the megaphone-and-flag kind of tour.
My storytelling style
Florence is not a museum. It's a living, gossipy, brilliant city — and the best way to see it is to follow the stories. I'll show you the masterpieces, of course, but also the bakery that's been running since 1899, the spot where Dante fell for Beatrice, and the rooftop with the view I save for very special guests. By the end of our day, you'll have a Florence that's a little bit yours.
